My Dad and I camped in the Smokies Friday night and biked the Cades Cove loop on Saturday.
This is why they're called the Great Smoky Mountains. The photo was taken from one of the overlooks on Foothills Parkway looking east towards the park.
The Missionary Baptist church in Cades Cove. Few trees have changed their leaves so far, but among those that had changed were bright red Dogwoods, like this one to the right of the church.
A tombstone in the Methodist graveyard.
"Remember friends, as you pass by,
As you are now, so once was I.
As I am now, you're sure to be,
Prepare thyself to follow me."
